Cultivated in the fresh and rich land where fertilizing alluvium are annually banked up by Mekong river. Jasmine fragrant rice is a specialty rice in Mekong delta. After cooking, it is glutinous, soft, shiny white and generates distinctive fragrance of Jasmine.
Furthermore, with distinctive features of a long-day rice breed, flavour of Jasmine fragrant rice is stronger than that of other rice specialties cultivated in south-west Vietnam. It is quite suitable for those who favour cooked rice with fragrance and glutinous softness.
